At Thorn Grove we value every child, recognising that their emotional well being is just as important as academic progress.

We teach the English National Curriculum for Primary Schools with a particular emphasis on creativity and transferrable skills, aiming to foster a passion for learning in all our pupils. We make extensive use of our Outdoor Learning Environment, with each class engaging in a variety of weekly activities outside of the classroom: team building, confidence raising, problem solving  or gardening.

There are a range of music lessons and extra-curricular clubs offering opportunities for pupils to develop their own interests, leadership skills and collaborative team work.

On-site wrap around care  for working parents is provided through Sunriser’s breakfast club and Sunsetter’s after-school club.
